An English teacher at a local high school encountered the problem among some students of not having easy access to online computers. However, everyone rallied, she noted, including parents, to provide internet access to all participants after school hours for completing Reading Plus assignments. “Regular work with this program improves silent reading skills and comprehension and builds technological literacy. Thus, making the most of the program is a win-win proposition, even if creative solutions for gaining computer access beyond the school day must be found,” she said.
